#1 Answering the most common questions from non-German speakers:
- German: required for Lufthansa mainline, B2 is the realistic minimum, and the assessment is partly in German. Lufthansa CityLine and some group airlines are more flexible, and Eurowings/Discover have their own requirements.
- Bases: Frankfurt and Munich for mainline long-haul.
- Process: online application, online tests, assessment day (group, role-play, interview in German and English), medical.
- Roster: tariff-regulated, around 10-12 days off a month, genuinely protected rest, this is the reason people stay for decades.

#2 Is B2 German enough to actually work on board, or do you need more in practice?

#3 B2 gets you through training and announcements; you'll be at C1 within a year just from the job. Passengers switch to English readily on long-haul.
