Payslip line by line: what all the codes mean (UK short haul example)
-
#1 New joiners stare at the payslip like it is in code, so here is mine roughly. Basic salary. Sector pay, per sector flown last month. Commission on sales. Duty allowance or meal allowance for long days. Night stop allowance if you had any. Then deductions: tax, national insurance, pension, uniform deposit if applicable in year one. The number that confuses people is that sector pay is a month behind, so the first payslip is basic only. Ask your base admin to walk through it once, they are used to it.

#2 The month behind thing again. It should be on a poster in the crew room.

#3 Ryanair's is similar with the agency ones having the training deduction line as well. Read it every month, mistakes happen.
