Best layover in the world, one answer each, then defend it
-
#1 Fifteen years, so I have opinions. One layover per person, and why. Mine: Santiago in spring, the wine, the mountains, the crew hotel with the view. Go.
-
#2 Cape Town. Do not need to defend it.
-
#3 London for us, because it is home for half the crew and a proper long one.
-
#4 Rio. The beach in front of the hotel and the crew who actually go out.
-
#5 Tokyo. Clean, safe, the food, and a crew hotel near a good ramen place.
-
#6 Honolulu. Delta people know.
-
#7 Zurich in winter. Quiet, the lake, the chocolate. Not glamorous, perfect.
-
#8 Vancouver. Mountains and the sea from the hotel, and a proper 48 hours.
-
#9 Prague. Cheap, beautiful, walkable, the crew always go out.
-
#10 Perth for the Qatar crew. Beach, coffee, and a long one.
-
#11 Bangkok. The massage, the food, the price.
-
#12 Mauritius. When the roster gods are kind.
-
#13 Corporate now so my layovers are wherever the boss goes. Last week Ibiza for four days. I win.
-
#14 Will has ended the thread. Cape Town wins the vote among the honest people though.
