BA pension and staff travel, the two things nobody mentions at 24 and everybody mentions at 40

#1 Ex BA and now I recruit for other companies, so I say this with distance. The BA pension contributions and the staff travel on the Oneworld network are worth a serious amount of money over a career, more than the headline salary difference against other UK carriers. If you are deciding between BA and a low cost carrier on the basis of first year pay alone you are comparing the wrong numbers. Not everything is about money, but if it is, count those two.
