BA Heathrow first year: standby, the mixed months, and the money

#1 Three years in. First year: more standby than trips for the first few months, then a mix of Edinburgh turnarounds and a Cape Town in the same month, which is the BA thing. Money: modest at first, better with allowances on long haul months. The commute from London at 05:00 was the hard part. Year two was noticeably better on every count.
