United San Francisco base, three years of reserve and why I stayed

#1 Three years on reserve at SFO. Why I stayed: the Asia flying once you hold a line is the best in the system, the base is beautiful, and I did not want to move twice. Would I recommend it as a first base? Only if you can afford San Francisco on reserve pay, which most cannot. Houston or Denver first, SFO later, is the smarter path.
