Delta crash pads in New York, how they work and what they cost
-
#1 New York based on reserve, and yes I live in a crash pad on trip days. A crash pad is a shared apartment near the airport with bunk beds rented by the month to commuting crew. Mine is in Queens near JFK, a few hundred dollars a month for a bed you use on reserve days, the rest of the time I am home upstate. It is how most junior New York crew make the math work. Ask in the base groups, they are all word of mouth.

#2 Newark version of the same thing here. Six of us, two bathrooms, a shared calendar. It works.

#3 This is the first time I have understood what a crash pad is. Thank you.
